IEX-Linked Courses

Regional IEX-Linked Courses

Making Connections courses are courses that are taught by some IEx supervisors, which are related to the Regional IEx projects that they supervise. First-year students can choose to enrol in Making Connections courses before they form an IEx project group. The benefit of doing so is that any field trips undertaken during the Making Connections course can be seen as a preview of future IEx project trips, should they go on to pursue an IEx project that is linked to their Making Connections course.

Students should note that their choice of IEx projects will still be open after taking a Making Connections course, and IEx-linked courses are not pre-requisites for IEx projects. Enrolment in IEx-linked courses and formation of IEx project groups are subject to availability.

IEx-linked courses are also open to any NUS College student who might be interested in the course subjects, regardless of their IEx project. IEx-linked courses cover a wide range of topics and field trips, such as studying about post-conflict Cambodia and participating in a Bamboo Bootcamp in the Philippines.
