Jixun and Serene Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Foo Jixun and Serene Siar to push our society towards a future of greater innovation and entrepreneurship. The scholarship emphasises the importance of multidisciplinary thinking.

Temasek Foundation-NUS College Sunburst Scholarship

The Temasek Foundation – NUS College Sunburst Scholarship seeks to provide talented students from Singapore and ASEAN countries unparalleled access to an NUS College education regardless of their financial standing, as well as an opportunity to join a global alumni network offered by the Temasek Foundation Youth Alumni network. Recipients must understand the role they play in being a global citizen and their potential to become future leaders in various fields.

Albert Teo Prize

This prize is presented to a graduating student from the NUS College who is well-rounded and has exemplified academic excellence and demonstrated a strong passion for entrepreneurship or innovation in the social or business sector. This prize is donated by Professor Albert Teo, a former faculty and Deputy Director (Student Life) at the University Scholars Programme.

Izzuddin Taherally Prize

This prize was established by Dr Mustafa Izzuddin, an alumnus of the University Scholars Programme and Senior Lecturer of NUS College. This prize supports a graduating student at the College, in honour of his father, Izzuddin Taherally. This prize reflects a strong commitment to promoting interfaith dialogues or activities related to social harmony.

Chan Bibe Bte Syed Mohd Shah Prize

This prize is presented to a graduating student from NUS College who is well-rounded and has exemplified academic excellence and demonstrated a strong commitment to wide-ranging learning through co-curricular activities, or to community service. This prize is donated by the family of Dr Aaron Maniam, an Adjunct Lecturer at NUS College.

GIC Medal and Prize

This prize is presented to a graduating student who is:

  • The best student in NUS College awarded with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree; and
  • The best student in NUS College awarded with a School of Computing (Honours) degree.

This medal and prize is donated by the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC).

Tin Chew Hong Prize

This prize is presented to a graduating student from NUS College who is well-rounded and has exemplified academic excellence and demonstrated strong commitment to community service, preferably in the areas of the elderly, ageing or gerontology. This prize is donated by Tin Pei Ling, an alumna of the University Scholars Programme.

Syed Ahmad Khan AMU Memorial Prize

This prize is presented to two graduating students from NUS College who are well-rounded and have exemplified academic excellence and reflected a strong commitment or made a significant contribution to South Asian studies and culture. This prize is donated by the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Alumni Association Singapore.

Joanna Wong Gold Medal Award

This award is presented to the graduating student from NUS College who best embodies the ethos of the programme. The student has been evaluated for academic excellence and for commitment to co-curricular activities. Academic excellence is assessed by Grade Point Average. Co-curricular involvement is evaluated based on participation and leadership in activities that foster “learning beyond the classroom” such as the NUS College Club activities.
