The New College Planning Committee is supported by seven Working Groups, which will steer the growth of the New College as it sets forth a model of broad-based, interdisciplinary education that is accessible, flexible and inclusive.
The Working Groups (WG), and their areas of focus, are:
- Admissions: The Admissions WG will build a holistic admission process to bring about a diverse and inclusive community of students.
- Common Curriculum: The Common Curriculum WG will develop a distinctive and compelling curriculum that features interdisciplinarity and experiential learning.
- Student and Residential Life: The Student and Residential Life WG will provide a framework for a transformative student life experience that encourages impactful endeavours and the flourishing of every student.
- Facilities Management: The Facilities Management WG will manage access to and allocation of the College’s facilities and resources.
- Communications: The Communications WG will develop an effective communications strategy to manage change.
- Faculty Appointments: The Faculty Appointments WG will facilitate the transition for faculty, and seek to align appointments with faculty interests and aspirations.
- Staff Appointments: The Staff Appointments WG will facilitate the transition for staff, and seek to align appointments with staff interests and aspirations.
The work of growing and shaping the New College continues apace, and the Working Groups have begun discussions, in addition to the regular meetings of the main Planning Committee.
