At NUS College, you’ll find plenty of opportunities for you to grow and flourish within our diverse community. Here, you are encouraged to explore over 60 sports, social-cultural clubs and Interest Groups that make up our vibrant student life.

The NUS College Onboarding and Welcome (NOW!) is a time to celebrate the start of our College journey. Whether incoming first years or current students, everyone is welcome to come together as a community for our month-long programme.

Meet ollie!

Ollie the otter is the beloved student mascot of NUS College. Nearly two years in the making, Ollie is the result of a student-led initiative brought to life through the dedication of the NUSC mascot team and the support of the college’s staff.

The NUS College Club (NUSCC) is a constituent club of the NUS Students’ Union and is made up of the community of students enrolled in NUS College.

The NUSCC Management Committee guides the club’s direction, overseeing its events as well as representing the voices and interests of students within the NUSC community. We aim to foster a vibrant and inclusive spirit where every student feels empowered to participate and contribute.

Under this year’s Presidential Directorate, the committee is supported by several dedicated teams : the Community Engagement Team, which builds meaningful connections within NUSC; the Communications Team, which manages outreach and publicity efforts; the Mascot Team, which brings life of our mascot and branding into the campus; the Alumni Relations Team, which strengthens ties between current students and graduates; and the NUSC Club Welfare Team, which supports our members. Beyond these teams, we’re always excited to explore new special projects that serve and enrich our community throughout the year. NUSC Community Life is the enabler for student-initiated activities. From Interest Groups to Ground-Up Initiatives and Projects, we promote events and activities that contribute to a vibrant NUSC student life. Alongside student-initiated events, the Cultural Arts and Sports Directorates also organise activities directly.

The NUSC Welfare team looks after the NUSC community’s well-being. Our Welfare Projects Committee plans events that deliver large-scale fun filled events aim at providing a safe and enjoyable space for the student population; our Exam Welfare Committee organises the anticipated welfare pack giveaways biannually and other much needed welfare initiatives during exam season; our Inter-House Coordinators promote inter-house bonding and helps out our fellow House Captains; our Student Affairs Committee focuses on introducing exchangers and international students to Singapore and helping them settle into the local community; and our Pastoral Care Committee aims to look after the mental wellbeing of our community.

The Secretariat serves as the operational backbone of NUS College, supporting the smooth functioning of its events, spaces, and community initiatives. It comprises five subcommittees: Logistics, which manages the inventory and loaning of equipment and resources to students and organisations for their events; Spaces, which ensures all shared and common areas are well-maintained, accessible, and conducive for use; Technologies, which develops and manages NUSC’s digital infrastructure such as the college website and Telegram bots; Makers’ Studio, which provides a creative space equipped for hands-on projects like 3D printing, soldering, and sewing; and NUSCave (AV & Events), a newly formed subcommittee that handles audio-visual and technical support for college events. Together, the Secretariat plays a key role in maintaining an efficient, resourceful, and collaborative environment for the NUSC community.

The Finance Committee has two teams, one is the finance team that handles finance procedures for NUS College Club as well as our Business Development team that looks out for potential opportunities to improve students lives. We handle the finances of student groups from Houses, to Ground Up Initiatives, to Welfare and many more. Our business development team creates merchandise and apparels for NUSC students and also sources for potential partners to collaborate with. Together, the Finance Committee hopes to serve the NUSC population and make NUSC an enjoyable experience for all.

The Academic Director is responsible for setting the direction for the NUSCC Academic Committee. The Academic Committee coordinates the organising of academic intiatives that strengthens engagement with the NUSC curriuclum. The Academic Director is also responsible for bridging communication between students and faculty to represent student community sentiments on NUSC academic matters. The Academic Director therefore works closely with faculty to ensure clear communication and balanced considerations on academic policies within NUSC.

The NOW! Committee curates and coordinates the NUS College Onboarding & Welcome (NOW!) Programme, overseeing the planning and execution of its various initiatives. By collaborating with key stakeholders, including House Committees and NUSC staff, the committee is committed to providing a warm and inclusive welcome for first-year students into the NUSC community.
