NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC)

Want to gain global experiential learning and enterprising mindset before you even graduate? That is just one of the key benefits that NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) offers. NOC programme is all about providing students with the global experiential learning and entrepreneurial development to kickstart their own start-up journey.

With access to over 25 global innovative hotspots, while attending entrepreneurship courses at our renowned partner universities, students will be empowered with the entrepreneurial life skill and transformative mindset and skill sets to make a change in the world today. It is time to shape your future with NOC! More importantly, it is a hands-on international working experience with an extended time frame that truly gives you the breadth and depth to make it count – for both you and the start-up company you intern with. A three-month, six month- or year-long NOC stint can be counted towards fulfilling NUS College’s global pathways graduation requirement.

NOC Application Procedures:

NUS College has a ‘green lane’ (subject to meeting NOC selection’s requirements) arrangement with NOC, where our students applying to NOC are exempted from the initial internal panel interview with NOC. A copy of your resume and unofficial NUS transcript will still be required and NUSC students must apply directly to NOC via EduRec and submit all the relevant documents, but NUSC students DO NOT require to book any panel interview slot. If you have booked a slot and attended our interview, we will assess you together with the general pool of NUS students who applied for NOC, we will not consider you under green-lane route.

Furthermore, at the point of NOC Selection, NUSC students may be called for meet-ups and chats with NOC Country Managers so that they can find out more about each student’s work experience, skills and interests. Offers are then made based on best matching to the start-ups collaborating with NOC and students’ suitability for NOC Programme. Once cleared with all the academic and disciplinary standing checks as well as meeting all NOC Selection requirements, NUSC students will receive an official email provisional offer from NOC and NOC team will brief all offered students on what is next at their first enrolment briefing and after that, NUSC students will interview externally with prospective start-up(s).

Please take note that the ’green lane’ arrangement is not a guaranteed enrolment for NUSC students in NOC as NOC will consider all factors such as best matching of work experience, skills and interests to the needs of the start-ups, suitability for the overall NOC Programme and etc. In order to help NUSC students obtain NOC placement, the College would be running NOC clinics before each application cycle.
